Sunrun

About Sunrun

Sunrun offers solar panel installation and battery storage systems to homeowners in East Peoria, Illinois. The company provides two main options for going solar: a subscription plan and outright system ownership. The Sunrun Subscription Plan is a lease arrangement requiring little to no upfront cost, with Sunrun retaining ownership of the equipment and handling all maintenance. Subscribers receive a 10- to 15-year warranty on equipment and workmanship, a five-year warranty on roof penetrations, and 24/7 system monitoring; the plan also transfers to a new owner if the home is sold. The ownership option lets customers purchase panels outright, with manufacturer equipment warranties, a 10-year workmanship guarantee, and a five-year roof penetration warranty, with the homeowner responsible for ongoing maintenance. Beyond solar panels, Sunrun offers battery storage products including the Tesla Powerwall and add-on battery options, roofing solutions, EV charging integration including support for the Ford F-150 Lightning, and the SPAN smart electrical panel. The company notes that electricity costs in Illinois rose approximately 40 percent over the past five years. Solar installation is available to homeowners only.
