SEK Solar
About SEK Solar
SEK Solar is an owner-run solar installation company based in Chanute, Kansas, serving residential, commercial, agricultural, and municipal customers across southeast Kansas and the Four States region. Founded in 2024, the company draws on 15-plus years of solar experience and more than 150 completed projects, including an 18 MW commercial rooftop installation that ranked as the world's second-largest when completed in 2020. The same local crew handles design, installation, and ongoing service for every project — no subcontractors. For homeowners, SEK Solar installs both rooftop and ground-mount systems, with optional battery backup for grid outages. Commercial and industrial clients receive help structuring federal tax credits and depreciation to offset project costs. The company also serves agricultural operations, including solar-powered irrigation systems, and has completed projects for mixed-use and convenience-store properties. Documented local installations include Pete's #24 in Chanute, Great Expectations in Fort Scott, Elnicki Solar Irrigation in Frontenac, and Ag Strategies for Kansas in Chanute. Free site assessments are available. The office is located at 620 W Elm Street in Chanute; the team can be reached by phone at (620) 431-1122 or by email at [email protected].
