Pennstar Solar LLC
About Pennstar Solar LLC
Pennstar Solar LLC is a solar installer based in Merion Station, Pennsylvania, serving homeowners across Southeastern Pennsylvania. The company installs solar panel systems combined with battery storage and EV charging, and positions its offerings as a path to energy independence from PECO's grid. Pennstar Solar installs multiple battery brands including Tesla Powerwall 3, Sigenergy SigenStor, Enphase IQ Battery 10C, and FranklinWH, and provides a battery comparison resource and sizing tool to help customers select the right system. The company offers 100 percent financing with no money down and backs installations with a 10-year workmanship warranty. A properly sized system is described as capable of offsetting 80 to 100 percent of a customer's electric bill, with typical payback periods of 8 to 10 years and savings extending 15 to 20 or more years beyond payback. Pennstar Solar also handles solar repair and maintenance for existing systems, including orphaned systems, inverter repair, and tune-ups. The company provides guidance on PECO's 1-to-1 net metering program and on Pennsylvania's SREC program, which can generate $200 to $300 per year for a typical 10 kW system.
