About Ocotillo Solar Electric
Ocotillo Solar Electric is a locally owned and operated solar installation company based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, serving residential customers throughout the state. The company designs and installs photovoltaic (PV) systems for homeowners, with a focus on matching each system to the specific needs of the customer. Their staff includes NABCEP-certified installers — NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) is the solar industry's primary professional certification body. Named installer Dominic Westeen holds NABCEP PV Installation Professional certification (ID 091308-37), and the company is listed on NABCEP's directory of New Mexico certified PV installers. Ocotillo Solar Electric reports hundreds of completed installations. Beyond installation, the company provides guidance on local solar incentives, financing options, and equipment details such as the differences between inverter types, helping customers make informed decisions before purchasing. They offer free estimates and can be reached at their Albuquerque office at 5854 Osuna Rd. NE. The company positions itself on customer service and quality workmanship rather than volume, and emphasizes understanding the products they sell as a differentiator from larger competitors.
