New Prairie Solar
About New Prairie Solar
New Prairie Solar is a solar installation contractor based at 2005 N. Linview Ave. in Urbana, Illinois, serving the Greater Urbana-Champaign community and broader Central Illinois region. The company installs solar PV systems for homeowners, businesses, agricultural operations, and nonprofits. Their services also include energy storage options, ongoing service and support, and guidance on available incentives and rebates. New Prairie Solar operates primarily as a general contractor, using in-house designers, technicians, and installers in partnership with a long-standing preferred licensed electrician. The company avoids cold calling and aggressive sales tactics, inviting clients to initiate contact for education and guidance on their own timeline. From initial consultation through post-installation monitoring and servicing, the solar PV system is handled entirely by New Prairie Solar's own teams. The company prioritizes quality and aesthetics in determining array placement and sizing, provides straightforward contracts, and offers a guarantee covering the full lifespan of each installed system. New Prairie Solar also offers energy efficiency services alongside their solar installations.
