About Nautilus Solar Energy, LLC
Nautilus Solar Energy is a community solar provider serving customers who want to benefit from solar energy without installing rooftop panels. Rather than selling or installing equipment on individual properties, Nautilus operates solar farms and allows subscribers to receive credits on their utility bill based on their share of the energy generated. There are no upfront costs, no rooftop installation, and no requirement to own a home, making the service available to renters and homeowners alike regardless of property type. Customers are guaranteed a discount of at least 5% on their electricity bills, with the company noting that most states qualify for discounts of 10% or more. Nautilus Solar reports having more than 65,000 customers enrolled. The company frames community solar as both a financial and environmental choice, noting that joining offsets carbon in a way it compares to the absorption of 200 mature trees. Prospective customers can check eligibility by location and enroll online with no upfront payment required.
