About Hot Sun Industries Inc

Hot Sun Industries Inc, based in Upland, California, specializes in solar swimming pool heating systems designed for residential pools. The company's primary offering is a flexible vinyl solar pool heating solution compatible with multiple roof types, including tile roofs, flat ballasted roofs, and shingle roofs. Their systems use proprietary ASA blend manifolds that deliver 7,800 psi tensile strength compared to 4,800 psi for standard polypropylene, along with higher temperature tolerance, improved scratch resistance, and superior fade resistance. The ASA material also bonds to adhesives, allowing fittings to be glued directly onto available roof spaces for a precise fit. A key technical advantage is freeze tolerance: the flexible fin tube absorbers can freeze solid without cracking, making the system viable in higher-altitude climates such as Las Vegas and Denver where nighttime temperatures can drop near freezing during swimming season. Flat roof installations use a ballasted framework that preserves roof integrity, while tile roof solutions require no penetrations and capture the full available solar resource. In addition to professional installations, Hot Sun provides DIY resources, sizing guides, plumbing tutorials, and pump power requirement guides. The company also operates an online store and offers educational content covering solar hot water, heat pumps, and advanced solar mechanical topics. Hot Sun serves pool owners looking to extend their swimming season without burning fossil fuels.
