Hawaii Energy Connection

About Hawaii Energy Connection

Hawaii Energy Connection is a nationally recognized solar PV integrator based in Aiea, Hawaii, serving both residential and commercial customers across the state. The company installs its proprietary KumuKit™ solar packages, which bundle rooftop photovoltaic systems with smart battery energy storage and whole-home energy management monitoring. Residential systems are designed to maximize energy production, capture available incentives, and reduce electric bills, with storage options that let homeowners use solar power during peak evening hours, maintain backup power during outages, and participate in utility grid service programs. The KumuKit™ is also engineered to work with Hawaii's Smart Distributed Energy Resources (DER) Tariff, which the company describes as a complex emerging program it has built its systems to simplify for customers. For businesses, Hawaii Energy Connection offers commercial PV installations through a separate commercial division, with a stated focus on on-schedule, on-budget delivery. The company handles paperwork and regulatory administration as part of its installation process. Battery systems use modular designs that can be expanded over time. Free, no-pressure quotes are available, and the company works with customers to design systems sized to their specific home or business needs and budget.
