Discount Solar Solutions
About Discount Solar Solutions
Discount Solar Solutions is a solar and home energy company serving Bakersfield and Kern County, California. The company installs rooftop solar panel systems and manages permits and installation as part of a defined four-step process, with free on-site estimates provided by a local crew. Solar battery storage is a core offering, with system designs focused on backup power and on maximizing savings under California's NEM 3.0 net billing rules, which significantly reduced export credits for solar customers. The company also installs high-efficiency HVAC systems intended to complement solar and reduce total home energy use. An additional service covers energy-efficient landscaping, including shade trees, drought-resistant plants, and water-smart design. Financing options include programs with zero dollars down and zero percent APR available, and a savings calculator on the company's website allows homeowners to estimate payback timelines quickly. Educational resources include a NEM 3.0 guide, a California solar incentives and rebates overview covering the 30 percent federal tax credit and the SGIP battery rebate, a battery storage guide, a utility bill explainer, and a step-by-step installation process guide. The website also features a project gallery of recent installs around Kern County and a customer review section from local homeowners.
