About Atlantic Electric and Solar
Atlantic Electric and Solar (AES) is a residential and commercial solar contractor serving Asheville and the surrounding Western North Carolina area. Founded by Jonathan Johnson, who spent six years installing solar panels in California before returning to North Carolina, AES was built on principles of accuracy, efficiency, and customer service. Johnson holds an Unlimited Electrical License and brings experience from installing over 30,000 solar panels prior to establishing the company. For residential customers, AES installs rooftop solar panels, full photovoltaic systems, battery backup systems, and at-home EV charging stations. Commercial clients can have rooftop solar panels or bracket-mounted field systems installed to reduce utility costs. AES also designs and installs battery backup and off-grid power solutions, from emergency standby generators to complete off-grid setups. Ongoing system maintenance and repair services are available to keep existing installations running efficiently. The company is a certified installer for Tesla Powerwall and Enphase products and also installs Generac backup generators. Free consultations are available for prospective customers.
