Alcor Solar

About Alcor Solar

Alcor Solar, located at 2681 Cloverdale Avenue in Concord, California, has specialized in solar pool heating installation and service since 1981, building a longstanding reputation throughout the San Francisco East Bay Area. The company serves residential pool owners across Contra Costa, Alameda, Solano, and Napa Counties as the exclusive dealer and distributor for Aquatherm Solar Industries, the industry's largest manufacturer of solar pool heating systems. Alcor's installations range from compact four-collector setups for small backyard pools to large, multi-deck arrays, and their systems can be added whether or not an existing pool heater is already in place. By capturing renewable solar energy, these pool heating systems extend swimming seasons beyond the traditional summer months while reducing energy consumption and costs. Over more than four decades, Alcor has served thousands of customers and built its standing as the top-rated choice for both solar pool heating service and new installations in the East Bay region. The company announced that it will be closed indefinitely beginning October 1, 2026, following the retirement of its founding team after 45 years in business.
